Your first order from China, step by step.

Many of our clients had never bought directly from a Chinese supplier before. This page sets out how a first order works with us, what it costs to start, how you pay, what happens if something goes wrong, and how to check that we are who we say we are.

How a first order works

    A photo, a link or a product you already sell is enough. Tell us the quantity, your target price and your market.

    We find suitable factories and send a written quotation with price, minimum quantity, packing and lead time.

    We sign a proforma invoice with every detail agreed. Production starts when the deposit arrives.

Our terms, in plain words

Samples

  • Standard samples are usually free of charge.
  • If you need a custom sample with a high development cost, we agree with you beforehand how to share it.
  • You pay the courier. Many clients give us their DHL, FedEx or UPS account and we ship on it.

Payment

  • New clients: 30% deposit to start production, 70% after inspection and before shipment.
  • Payment by bank transfer to Aurelia International (HK) Co., Limited or Supro International Trading Co., Ltd.
  • When payments have been on time and volumes grow, we review the terms with you.

If something is wrong

  • We inspect before you pay the balance, so most problems are caught in China.
  • If a defect appears after arrival, we first try to arrange rework in your country.
  • If that is not possible, we agree with you on a replacement or a refund.

Trial order size

  • A trial order is usually 500 to 3,000 pieces, depending on the product.
  • We tell you the exact minimum in the quotation, before you commit to anything.
  • Several products can share one shipment; the container planner shows how they fit.

Paying safely

Payment fraud by email is common in international trade. Fraudsters copy a supplier's emails and send new bank details. These rules protect you:

  1. We only accept payment to company accounts in the name of Aurelia International (HK) Co., Limited or Supro International Trading Co., Ltd. Never to a personal account.
  2. Our bank details do not change by email. If you receive new details, do not pay. Call us or message us first.
  3. Before your first payment, you are welcome to confirm the account with us by phone or video call.

You should not have to take our word for it. Our companies are registered and can be looked up in the official public registers.

Questions first-time importers ask

Do you charge for samples?

Standard samples are usually free. If you need a custom sample with a high development cost, we agree beforehand how to share it. The courier is paid by you; we can ship on your own DHL, FedEx or UPS account.

What are the payment terms?

Who do I pay?

Aurelia International (HK) Co., Limited, our Hong Kong company, or Supro International Trading Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, always to a company account. Our bank details never change by email; if you receive new details, contact us before paying.

What is the minimum order?

What happens if goods arrive with a defect?

Goods are inspected before you pay the balance, so most problems are solved in China. If a defect appears after arrival, we first try to arrange rework in your country; if that is not possible, we agree on a replacement or a refund.

How can I check that you are a real company?

Our registration numbers are on this page and can be checked in the official registers of Hong Kong and mainland China. You can also visit our office in Shanghai or ask for a video call.

Can you put several products in one container?

Yes. We combine products from different factories into one shipment. The container planner on this site shows how many cartons fit.

Who handles customs in my country?

Your customs broker clears the goods. We send the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and, where a trade agreement applies, the certificate of origin that lowers your duty.

When should I order around Chinese New Year?

Factories close for several weeks around the New Year. The import guide shows a live countdown to the last safe ordering date.
